CGB Enterprises, Inc. is privately held by four important global companies. Zen-Noh Grain Corporation is owned by one of the largest cooperative organizations in the world and ITOCHU is one of the world's largest trading companies.

These companies provide us with the international backbone to compete in the global marketplace. The combination of our assets provide us with a strong growing organization.

CGB has been an innovative and progressive leader in the grain and transportation industries since 1970, when it began modestly in a small office in St. Louis, Missouri with three employees. Today, CGB operates a global enterprise with over 2,000 employees overseeing a diverse family of businesses. The company provides an array of services for grain farmers, from buying, storing, selling and shipping of the crop, to financing and risk management. CGB continues to be one of the largest shippers of grain on the inland river system.

CGB GRAIN

From America's great heartland, CGB originates and markets grain and oilseeds for the export and domestic channels. CGB has an extensive network of nearly 100 grain elevators and terminals that utilize various modes of transportation. Our focus is on providing quality service and products for farmers and dealers as well as our end use customers. Because of this emphasis on quality, we value close relationships with our customers for food and feed in the US, as well as around the world.


Marketing

From the field to the market, our team has an all-encompassing array of tools and knowledge to assist you in marketing and transporting grain. These tools range from basic cash contracts to innovative pricing alternatives such as our Equalizer®  family of products. With our intimate knowledge of grain transportation and various markets we are able to partner with you to gain the most value for your grain and oilseeds.

CGB DIVERSIFIED SERVICES

Two of the most important aspects of farming are managing today’s volatile markets and risk for yield loss. Understanding how these two vital components of farming affect an operation is what separates Diversified Services within the crop insurance industry. DS leads in innovation of tools and providing World Class experience and education to our farmers and agents. 

Agribusiness is challenging and farmers face more decisions now than ever before. The impact of an incorrect move can be devastating. DS and DCIS agents work with farmers to understand the intricacies of the federal crop insurance program and how to tie those benefits to a sound risk management plan. This approach makes Diversified Services the undisputed leader in agricultural risk management. 

Diversified Crop Insurance Services is the Managing General Agency (MGA) and provides administrative, marketing, and adjusting services for the federal crop insurance program to our direct and independent agents and agencies. These programs are underwritten by and are maintained by the USDA's Risk Management Agency. 

 

 

 

CGB FERTILIZER

As part of CGB Enterprises, Inc. the AgraInputs Division is responsible for CGB’s Wholesale Trade and Retail Operations.

Wholesale Trade and Distribution
CGB Fertilizer, has offices in Jeffersonville, IN and Mandeville, LA. Supported by strategic river locations and strong logistical relationships and assets, CGBF supplies quality bulk fertilizer, market advice, and service to trading partners, dealers, and retail outlets alike - in truck, rail, barge, or vessel quantities. Sourcing bulk fertilizer products from both U.S. and International sources provides value to retail customers through its distribution network of 15 company-owned or leased warehouses, and offering product into 27 U.S. States and 3 Canadian provinces. 

Agronomy and Farm Services
The Agronomy and Farm Services division provides essential products and services directly to farm operations. This is accomplished through our full service agricultural retail facilities located in Illinois.  These facilities offer fertilizer, chemical, seed and application services direct to the farm. They also provide agronomic value added services such as soil testing, inputs consulting, farm mapping, field scouting and aerial spraying.
 

 

 

 

CONSOLIDATED TERMINALS AND LOGISTICS COMPANY (CTLC)

Consolidated Terminals and Logistics Company (CTLC), a division of CGB Enterprises, Inc., began as a transportation company in 1970. CTLC initially focused on moving freight from north to south on the inland waterways of the United States. An innovative philosophy and an entrepreneurial spirit led to an expansion of services and markets, transforming CTLC into a global operation. 

Today, CTLC possesses one of the largest and most sophisticated networks of assets and manpower in the U.S. It has become one of the major logistics providers and handlers of bulk commodities and products throughout the middle and lower United States. In addition, CTLC now serves the global marketplace; capable of moving customers’ products from anywhere in the world to its final destination in the United States, and vice versa. From trucking to ocean freight and everything in between, CTLC is an organization capable of providing world-class service with a small company attitude.

CTLC's services include: a full service logistics company, 12 terminals on the inland waterway of the U.S., Cooper/Consolidated - The largest stevedoring group on the lower Mississippi River, ocean freight services, barge transportation (inland hopper/deck barge), trucking division with four locations (asset and brokerage services), rail logistics, and full service project cargo management.

 

 

 

CGB FEED INGREDIENTS

CGB Feed Ingredients source Dried Distiller's Grains (DDGs) and other feed ingredients for export and domestic markets. These consist of many different types of logistics, from trucks to vessels, traveling within the US and Internationally. We can source from plants and place to the destination end-users timely, efficiently and competitively. 

Our team of experts can arrange and assist with export of feed ingredients via: containers, barge, rail, and ocean freight.

 

 

 

CGB SOYBEAN PROCESSING

The CGB Soybean Processing Plant was built in 1997 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana at the Port of Indiana, which is in the southwest corner of the state. Conveniently located on the bank of the Ohio River, this strategic location provides direct access to multiple logistics options including barge, rail, truck and outbound container shipping. Rail service at this port is provided by the EVWR RR which connects to the CSX mainline, allowing for easy access to domestic feed mills in the southeast U.S. 

Soybean Processing’s main customers include feed mills, poultry manufacturers, hog farmers, cattle farms, dairies, edible oil manufactures as well and bio-fuel producers. The plant’s goal is to provide soybean products that are used for food, feed and energy to customers domestically as well as around the world while maintaining the highest level of quality and service.
  

 

 

 

CGB MARINE SERVICES

With over 30 years of experience, CGB is successfully moving products and commodities around the world. As a recognized industry leader, the company is directly involved in over 12,000 barge loads of cargo annually. CGB takes products from origin to destination, whether that be inland or worldwide. CGB Marine, a division of CGB Enterprises, Inc., manages 13 full service barge fleeting facilities on the U.S. inland waterways. CGB Marine specializes in transportation consulting and logistics. The firm also provides cleaning and repair services. Facilities are strategically located on the Lower Mississippi River near the Gulf of Mexico, the St. Louis Harbor, the Ohio River, and various locations on the Illinois River. Safe, secure fleets provide transporting and switching services that comply with all requirements of the Homeland Security Act. Space is allocated, with controls and permits in place with the Coast Guard, to accommodate barges carrying Certain Dangerous Cargo (CDC). CGB is also a member of the American Waterways Organization. Services CGB Marine features 24-hour wet and dry cleaning services for hopper barges and tank barges that are in place. A full complement of repair services are available, including: Dry-docking, Steel fabrication, Top-side and bottom modifications and replacements, Tow boat repairs, and Fiberglass cover repairs.
